Serve

Check out the many ways you can serve today at and with Northwest.

Valet Service: Our Connections Ministry would like to offer a year-round valet service for our seniors. If you are 25 or older and would be interested in being a part of something that is very important, please stop by the Welcome Center and sign up today.

Connections Ministry: The Connections Ministry is a group of people who plan church wide events throughout the year. If you are interested in serving with this team please contact Melissa Hooverman 330.352.3322

Northwest Food Pantry: The food pantry here at Northwest exists to help our community members who are in need. We are only able to offer this through the generosity of people here at Northwest. We are currently in need of breakfast items, i.e. Cereal, pancake mix, syrup, oatmeal, cream of wheat and pop-tarts. If you are able to donate any of these items you can bring them in and place them at the corral outside the worship center.

Family Promise: Family Promise of Summit County helps homeless families with children stay together and achieve sustainable independence. Their vision is to Keep Families Together, to alleviate the trauma of homelessness and assist families in securing a stable home environment. Northwest is a partner in helping make this a reality. This is a great place to serve! Service opportunities include: drivers, preparing meals, evening host and overnight host. To volunteer, contact John Lindesmith at johnlindesmith@yahoo.com or 330.983.7712.

We need volunteers for the following roles:
  • Evening Host (5:00-7:00 PM) This is simply just hanging out with the families and helping them to feel at home while they are here.
  • Overnight Host (10:00 PM - 7:00 AM) This involves staying overnight with our guests and being available should a need arise over night. Marking sure families are up and ready to go in the morning.

Nursery/Toddler Ministry:  Are you looking for a way to serve in 2017? In order for this ministry to function safely and securely, we need 2 adults in each area for both hours 10:00 & 11:00. We need to have substitutes as well which would not require a monthly commitment but to be contacted to fill in once in a while when someone cannot. If you can invest in the faith of the next generation of Christ followers, please contact Angela Wolak at angelawolak@gmail.com or the church office at 330.929.5776  for further information.
