IMPACT: Sunday nights are best spent at IMPACT for grades 6-12 from 6:30-7:30PM. Every Sunday we will be talking about stories from the Bible, cool things Jesus did and way that we can better follow him.Click here to follow Impact Youth Group on Facebook.  

D-Groups: From 7:30-8:30PM on the 2nd & 4th weeks, for grades 6-12. This is for students who wish to go deeper in their walk with God. It's a very intentional time in the Word and deep discussion. 

242: Join us each Wednesday at Northwest from 6:30 to 8:00 PM for an intentional time of prayer. 242 is a gathering of people who are devoted to praying strategically for Northwest. The name comes from Acts 2:42 which says, "They devoted themselves to the apostle's teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." We are currently on a summer break from our normal meeting. 

VBS - Maker Fun Factory: Created by God. Built for a Purpose: VBS will be taking place Sunday, July 16th through Thursday, July 20th. This is for kids in Pre-K through 5th (children leaving 5th into 6th are welcome to attend as well). This year's theme is Maker Fun Factory! Imagine a world where curious kids become hands-on inventors who discover they're lovingly crafted by God. Family Meeting/Fellowship Saturday Aug. 5th: At Keyser Park in Cuyahoga Falls (on the corner of W. Bath and N. Hampton Rd.) we will have an ALL Family meeting/fellowship from 11am to 1pm (or whenever). There will be childcare (there is a playground below). Food will also be provided. The intent of this meeting is to gather and creatively think about ways to go above and beyond in the areas we serve.

Akron Rubberducks Game - Aug. 12th: Join us for a night at the ballpark! Game starts at 7:05 and the Rubberducks will be taking on the Binghamton Rumble Ponies. This is a great evening for the whole family, tickets are only $8 per person (3 & under are free w/o a seat). After the game there will be a fireworks show! Deadline for sign ups is Sunday July 23rd, see Janelle Harris to sign up. Half of all proceeds raised will go directly to the Haven of Rest.

Knitted Together In Prayer: The ladies are working on chemo caps and hats for Children's Hospital, blankets and layettes for APS, as well as hats and scarfs for service men and women. Contact Melissa Hooverman at 330.352.3322 with questions. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month in the downstairs preschool hall (if you are new, you can call Melissa and she will meet you at the door to direct you to specific room). Our next meeting is on Monday,  July 17th at 6:30PM.

Book Club: Ladies, join us in the Fall when we return from our summer break. We meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:00PM. For more information, please email gergely.amy@gmail.com. 

Financial Peace University:  If you've seen FPU advertised before and you're wondering when the next class will be, we have some good news! We are planning to start one in mid-September. More information will be coming in the near future.

Piece Makers (Quilting): Thursday, Aug 3rd (we are taking July off) at 6:30PM across the hall from room 104. No experience required. We make items for the VA Hospital and other organizations including some Christmas decorations for the church. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month and we meet all year long, except for Thanksgiving and near Christmas.  There are other ways to get involved by donating supplies, or ironing, teaching, or just for fellowship. Puerto Rico Mission Trip:  Northwest is planning a work mission trip to Puerto Rico. The trip will take place from Tuesday December 5th to Monday December 11. The cost for the trip is approximately $500-600, depending on airfare. During this trip we will be tiling a floor at the school and also working at a camp site. This trip and the projects being done do require skill and knowledge in those areas. If you are interested in going on this trip you will need to complete an application and give a deposit of $200, all due by August 8th. Balance for trip is due November 5th. There are only 4-8 spots open for this trip. You can get the application from Scott.

Open Gym Volleyball: Tuesday nights from 7:30PM to 11:00PM in the Family Life Center. This is for 18 years old and up. *WE WILL NOT BE MEETING UNTIL OCTOBER. Check back for updates.
