God is Doing a New Thing

None of us would have ever thought there would be a time we would not gather on Easter Sunday. The biggest day in Christianity occurred at home watching on a live stream for most of us. It was a very different Easter Sunday to say the least.

However, the message did not change! Jesus Is Alive! He Is Still Alive!

While we long to get back to normal we have to remember the Good News is not found in our gatherings. The Good News is found in what Jesus did for us through His death, burial and resurrection.

We expect that first Sunday back together will bring excitement and joy, it is not the gathering together we are celebrating. What we are celebrating is the how Jesus brings us together as His church. We are celebrating what He is doing through us to be the Good News to the world.

As we anticipate this coming back together, be asking God to show you how He is changing you to be a part of something much bigger than a gathering on Sunday Morning. Ask Him to use you right now to bring the Good News to those around you. Allow His Spirit to teach you some new things about how you can live as a participant in His Kingdom.

Here is something to pray through from Isaiah 43:18-19:

"Forget the former things, do not dwell in the past. See I am doing a new thing! I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland."

We can take this time to see what New Thing God is doing during this period of trials. When we trust God on this journey we will come out much better on the other side.

Embrace the awkward, leaning into the uncomfortable, trust the New Thing God is doing in your life.
